INTAKE MANIFOLD CLEANING

In automotive engineering, an inlet manifold or intake manifold is the part of an engine that supplies the fuel/air mixture to the cylinders. The primary function of the intake manifold is to evenly distribute the combustion mixture (or just air in a direct injection engine) to each intake port in the cylinder head(s). Even distribution is important to optimize the efficiency and performance of the engine. Newer common rail diesels with the help of EGR valves (exhaust gas recirculation valves) are a necessary evil. They deposit burnt carbon back into the intake manifold and tend to sludge up and badly block the intake. The fastest and most cost-effective way of cleaning the manifold is to use an ultrasonic cleaner. 808 mechanical has its very own ultrasonic cleaner. Heating a mixture up to 80 degrees then ultrasonically cleaning the manifold. The manifold looks like brand new. This being the most time effective technique also meaning you get the best results and are back on the road sooner.
